Last year the Neo SLS took the world by storm; utilising cutting edge materials and new construction techniques, the world’s best wave kite got even better. SLS stands for Strong Light Superior and is the new mantra for all our high-end products where performance is the most critical factor. For the Neo SLS, this means replacing all the heavy Dacron material with the new Penta TX material that is up to 15% lighter. Combining this with the Trinity TX canopy and the incredible build quality Duotone is famous for offers a winning combination. The kite flies incredibly well, especially in light winds; the reduced weight keeps it in the sky for longer, a huge advantage in the waves where drifting is essential and even more so in onshore conditions, where you often end up with slack lines. The Neo SLS is the only Neo offering Flex Struts and combined with the light weight construction, this Neo SLS is fast and delivers very dynamic turning with intuitive overall handling. You’ll notice the kite can literally hang in the air, allowing you to finish your move on the wave and get the tension back in the lines without dropping the kite. Penta TX frame construction Neo SLSThe Penta TX frame construction is the reason for a 5-times higher tear resistance, 50% less elongation compared to standard Dacron constructions and a 15% lighter overall construction compared to the Original Neo models, resulting in a great low end in combination with an incredible top end due to the solid frame construction.
Flex Strut Neo SLSThe counterpart to a stiff frame are the Flex Struts, between middle and tip struts. They ensure a direct and very reactive feel of SLS kites. The agility of a three-strut kite combined with the stiffness and the solid frame of a 5 strut kite. A softer material enables the Flex Struts to bend and twist in a defined way. Steering impulses are transformed smoothly and fast into turning actions.
Load Distribution PanelsAs kite geometry improves, the canopy must continue to resist increasing forces. To spread these forces, Load-Distribution-Panels are used, holding the kite’s shape even under the most extreme loads. In practice this gives a smoother and more consistent performance from the kite in any riding situation.
Self Rescue HandlesThe self-rescue handles on the inside of the wingtips can be easily found in case of an offshore break down. They provide a good, comfortable grip while sailing back to the shore during a self-rescue manoeuvre.
Kook Proof ConnectorsThe kook proof line connection points prevent accidents by guaranteeing that you cannot accidentally connect your lines incorrectly when rigging your kite.
Heavy Duty Leading Edge Closing SeamThe leading edges of all kites are extremely durable due to a special heavy duty closing seam. The Dacron material at the leading edge is reinforced with a self sticky Insignia Tape and double stitched additionally. The Heavy Duty Leading Edge Closing Seam is resistant to very high tensions and diagonal forces.
Anti SnagThe Anti Snag webbing is preventing the lines from tangling around the tip of the kite. Waterstarts are made easier and safety is increased.
Modern Trailing Edge DesignA narrower trailing edge with a lighter combination of materials to reduce wear and to create a slicker kite profile.

neo sls 2022 delivers everything duotone promised. The smoothness, the drift, the turning speed and the considerable improvement in the bar feel are incredible. the equipment will take you to a higher level. if you are an intermediate, prepare to be an advanced in a few weeks. Extremely satisfied with the equipment! They outdone themselves.
