The kiteboard that started a movement returns once again as the best freestyle board for riders looking for a balance between performance and ease of use. For this year the design team have worked to keep the same low overall weight of the board but adding extra strength. The Jaime still offers a smooth ride through the chop, with soft landings guaranteed, in addition, the experience on the water is dynamic and engaging with high top-end speed and plenty of control. A medium flex delivers plenty of pop while still being forgiving; the Absorption Flex Tips help to launch you off the water while also smoothing out the landings. The base shape for 2021 is the Double Diffusor design, which offers plenty of grip and also breaks surface tension when landing fast and hard. A new base material has been used this year, and it reduces the weight considerably, while still remaining exceedingly durable. Torsion FlexThe special shape of the 3D cap allows torsion of the long axis of the board. This gives them more grip on the heel-side edge, rich and smooth landings, a direct drive and better upwind performance. Invented by Duotone.
Double Diffusor BottomThe Double Diffusor breaks the water´s surface and delivers a precise, connected feedback. It also provides good control in all conditions with a sporty character for everyday use. The Double Diffusor allows for harder flex patterns to be used within the board without the loss of comfort. The harder flex delivers better pop making it a winning combination. By breaking the water´s surface when landing, the Double Diffusor delivers fluidity and instant planing of the board. This ensures control and comfort when landing, no matter how fast you´re going.
CARBON WEBThe use of Carbon Web is an important improvement for 2020 especially for competition boards like the Duotone Team Series and the Duotone Jaime. It offers the rider more torsional stiffness, therefore offering good pop and very precise edge control. Carbon Web is used to build light, yet very robust and durable boards, without losing any of the dynamic response needed for Freestyle and Wakestyle maneuvers. A great compromise for Freestyle boards at a lower price point, without compromising performance!
