The inspiring Story of Duotone Pro Center Sicily

My name is Simona Tirone, and at just over 40 years old, I am the proud representative of the Duotone Pro Center Sicily, which first opened its doors in 2021. It serves as a gathering place for both old and new friends united by their passion for watersports. 

It all began during the COVID-19 pandemic, a challenging and complicated time for all of us. This place became magical as it changed the lives of 22 people. These individuals still open the doors daily and keep the gears of our watersports school turning, allowing people to momentarily forget their stress and problems.

During these difficult times, when I moved to Sicily and was working remotely, freestyle world champion Gianmaria Coccoluto learned about one of the biggest losses of my life. He stayed close to me, reminding me of the healing power of kitesurfing. 

During that period, he also introduced me to Marco Baiocchi, the Italian Duotone sales representative, who soon revealed himself to be not just a self-made businessman but also a great friend and an inspiration for change— the kind of change we often desire but rarely have the courage to pursue. 

 Once we established DPC Sicily in 2021, fueled by passion, we decided to create a different reality in this field. Together, we embraced the challenge and opportunity to introduce kiting from a different perspective, enriched by our life experiences. 

Each of us, from Duotone and Gianmaria Coccoluto to Marco Baiocchi, shares the same core values: PASSION, DETERMINATION, and the DESIRE TO ACHIEVE. 

From the life and paths of these great entrepreneurs and athletes, I learned that success is hollow if not shared. Duotone creates enjoyable experiences, Marco spreads the word about these wonderful activities and carefully selects young potential future athletes, and Gianmaria, the WORLD CHAMPION to me, is the humble man who reminded me that LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL and kitesurfing even more so. Everyday he’s a role model to young boys and girls who follow him and his kitesurf evolution with admiration.

We have seen how attention to detail can lead to great achievements and better results, also enhanced by a bit of healthy madness, visionary creativity, and the courage to approach things differently and unconventionally, as we like to do at DPC Sicily. 

We've learnt the importance of communicating effectively, standing on the front lines with pride, charisma, generosity, and humility, but also with transparency and honesty, because the most successful businesses are a reflection of their creators. 

Finally, we have further proof of the indispensability of surrounding ourselves with people who believe in our dream and choose to embrace our values to help us achieve them. Our new family, made up of people who work for us and with us, and our many clients who choose us daily—you are a source of infinite strength. 

After four years together, we all agree that no matter how difficult it may be, it's all worth it. Every time a client embraces us and thanks us for being part of our FAMILY and helping them surpass their limits, we are assured that we are moving in the right direction.
