Podium Wins in Düsseldorf’s Indoor Pool

The first 2026 GWA & SFT Indoor World Cup took place during the boot Düsseldorf on January 17th and 18th, once again transforming the trade show into a one-of-a-kind competitive arena. The event brought together the world’s top wing and foilling athletes to compete in a spectacular indoor setting.

The Wing Foiling competition was run in a high-intensity time-trial slalom format on a indoor pool. Riders were accelerated to foiling speed via an overhead cable and powered by large fans, navigating a technical course of jibes, tacks, and buoy turns.

Pump Foiling challenged athletes to cross the pool using only technique, efficiency, and endurance.

Our team delivered outstanding results across both disciplines. Nia Suardiaz dominated the Wing Foiling event to take 1st place, while Manon secured 2nd place in Wing Foiling and 3rd place in Pump Foiling. Franz Schlittenbauer rounded out the podium with a strong 3rd place in Wing Foiling, underlining the depth and versatility of the team!

Also big shoutout to the youngest competitors Hubert and Willi Christal from Kiel!
