Making Waves Indoors

The inaugural GWA Indoor Wingfoil World Cup took place from January 17 to 19, 2025, at boot Düsseldorf in Germany. This groundbreaking event featured top international athletes competing in a unique indoor setting.

The Wing Foil competition was held in a time-trial slalom format on a 60 by 20-meter indoor pool. Athletes were towed to foiling speed by an overhead cable and propelled by large fans, navigating a course around two buoys with jibes and tacks. Foiling contest was about Pump Foiling through the pool.

Our team was very well represented with Finn Flügel, Benjamin May, Linus Punder, the Christahl brothers Hubert & Willi and of course our multiple World Champion, Nia Suardiaz.

It was great to have Julia Castro from Fuerte there for the whole weekend to keep us posted with stories during the event - head over to our insta BOAT SHOW highlight to check it out: https://www.instagram.com/duotone.wing/
