Temos o prazer de anunciar que três dos nossos mais promissores talentos Young Blood, Aleks e Tom Acherer, da Áustria, e Charlie Loch, do Reino Unido, se juntaram oficialmente à equipe internacional de Wing & Foiling da Duotone!

Conhecidas por suas habilidades excepcionais e pela paixão pelo esporte, essas estrelas em ascensão vêm causando impacto no mundo do Wing Foiling e agora estão prontas para mostrar seu talento no cenário global.

Os três pilotos participaram recentemente do nosso Young Blood Meets Pro Team Camp em Tarifa, e agora, como próximo passo, eles estão subindo para a Duotone International Team! Charlie, Aleks e Tom terão a oportunidade de treinar e competir ao lado de alguns dos principais atletas do esporte, aprimorando ainda mais suas habilidades e compartilhando sua paixão pelo Wing Foiling com um público global.

Sobre o Atleta

Temos acompanhado o progresso do Wing Foiling de Aleks e Tom nos últimos três anos, desde que suas carreiras decolaram no Lago de Garda, inicialmente como um complemento às suas carreiras profissionais de esqui estilo livre. Não demorou muito para que eles se juntassem à equipe austríaca Young Blood e, desde então, eles sempre nos impressionaram com sua dedicação, criatividade e abordagem destemida para ultrapassar os limites do Freestyle Wing Foiling. No ano passado, eles se mudaram para Tarifa em tempo integral para aumentar seu tempo na água, e seu trabalho árduo valeu a pena - Tom está atualmente classificado entre os 10 melhores do GWA Freestyle World Tour. Embora Aleks tenha ficado de fora do primeiro evento em Leucate devido a uma lesão na perna causada por um acidente de esqui em dezembro, ele também está voltando com força - fique atento!

Ouvimos falar de Charlie Loch pela primeira vez na primavera deste ano por meio de nosso agente no Reino Unido, Nik Baker, e o vimos ao vivo pela primeira vez em julho, no evento da GWA em Fuerteventura, onde ele terminou em 7º lugar. Desde o início, ficou claro que Charlie tinha o talento e as habilidades para causar um impacto significativo em nossa equipe. Seu desempenho e dedicação nos impressionaram profundamente, e soubemos imediatamente que ele tinha o que era preciso para se juntar à equipe internacional da Duotone. Estamos entusiasmados em vê-lo continuar crescendo e superando os limites ao lado dos melhores do mundo.

Duotone was your first wing – how does it feel to be back with this brand?

It honestly feels like a childhood dream coming true. Duotone always represented the best on the market to me: the reference brand everyone compared their gear to, always one step ahead in terms of innovation and performance.

Being part of the team today means a lot. I’m genuinely happy that my journey eventually led me back to Duotone. Beyond the equipment, we share the same values, the same vision of progression, and the same passion for pushing the sport forward. It makes this partnership feel natural and truly meaningful. Sometimes it still feels unreal.

Traveling and discovering new spots seem to be a big part of your motivation. What do you look for when exploring a new location?

I’m always looking for variety and authenticity. Of course, good conditions matter, but what really makes a place special is the atmosphere : the people, the culture, and how riding fits into local life. I love spots where you can explore, adapt your riding style, and discover something new every session, whether it’s a lagoon, open ocean, or a hidden downwind run.

How important is sharing sessions and riding with friends or the local community to you?

It’s essential. Riding is always better when it’s shared. Exchanging sessions with friends or locals pushes you to progress, but it also creates real connections. The best memories usually come from moments before or after the session : talking, laughing, and sharing the stoke.

Looking ahead, what are your personal goals?

My main goal is simply to keep doing what I love: discovering, sharing, and riding. Of course, I want to keep improving, but more than anything, what really matters to me is having fun on the water.

I’m genuinely excited to explore new disciplines, like foil assist recently, to keep pushing my limits and discovering new sensations.

As long as I can enjoy the ride, share the stoke, and keep exploring, I feel like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. Life is too beautiful not to enjoy it.

How do you like your new Duotone gear compared to back then and what’s your favorite setup / discipline?

What I really like about Duotone gear is how simple and intuitive it is. It’s so well designed that it feels plug and play, no endless adjustments needed, it worked straight away.

Wing Foiling has been my favorite discipline for a long time, but with Duotone, every discipline now feels fun and inspiring. Foil Assist, in particular, opens up incredible new possibilities.

Surf Foiling with the Crest foil feels super smooth and playful, and SUP downwind on a hollow D/LAB board truly feels like the future.

Honestly, I can’t pick just one, the best part of Duotone is how it lets you ride anything, anywhere, and really make the most of every moment on the water.
