VISÃO GERAL DO CIRCUITO DE ONDAS PWA 2025

No dia 23 de março, a luta pelo Título Mundial oficialmente começará. É hora do primeiro evento de ondas PWA/IWT de 5 estrelas no Chile!

Estamos animados para finalmente ver a equipe wave em ação durante o primeiro evento do ano, que acontecerá de 23 de março a 6 de abril. A equipe Duotone será representada por três homens: Victor Fernandez, Liam Dunkerbeck e Tobias Bjornaa, assim como por três mulheres: Alexia Kiefer, Maria Behrens e Lisa Wermeister.

Como prévia da temporada, encontramos a equipe para mostrar onde podemos vê-los em ação e como o título será decidido.

Chile (23 de março a 6 de abril)

Alexia Kiefer:
O primeiro evento da Turnê Mundial de 2025 acontece em Matanzas, Chile - um local conhecido por sua navegação em onda de boreste, ondas grandes, ventos leves e a necessidade de equipamento maior. Matanzas tem um lugar especial no meu coração, pois foi onde conquistei meu primeiro pódio na frota feminina em 2024. Ainda me lembro do momento incrível de sair da água, pensando que tinha garantido o segundo lugar - uma sensação que nunca esquecerei. Só posso esperar reviver essa experiência novamente este ano.

Gran Canaria (5 - 13 de julho)

Liam Dunkerbeck:
"Pozo é famoso por seus ventos de verão poderosos (que podem facilmente chegar a 40-50 nós), tornando-o a parada mais extrema do circuito para grandes saltos e manobras de onda. É meu local de origem, onde cresci e conheço todos os detalhes das condições. Competir aqui é sempre especial. No ano passado, fiquei um pouco desapontado com meu 5º lugar, pois acreditava ter potencial para o pódio. Este ano, estou mais determinado do que nunca para fazer acontecer e superar meus limites diante da minha torcida local."

With SlalomX wrapped up, all eyes turned to the Freestyle action. With a great forecast for the first two days of the freestyle window, the organizers wasted no time and completed both the single and double eliminations early, delivering non-stop action from start to finish.

Adrien Bosson & Niclas Nebelung in the top 10 while George Grisley lands a 'first ever' move in the PWA.

Duotone: 'Adrien narrowly missed out on the semifinals in the single elimination by just 0.3 points. It was a tight margin, especially knowing a better result was within reach. Despite posting one of the highest heat scores of the event with 37 points, he finished in 7th place at this year’s Fuerteventura World Cup. After a couple of podium places in recent years, this was for sure not what he aimed for, yet he feels statisfied showing he still got what it takes while having busy days at home with the windsurf center and being a dad since last year.

Niclas Nebelung secured 9th place, matching his best result here from 2023 after delivering several strong heats. A knee injury has been holding him back for a couple months with very little water time, so to come back into the top 10 felt good for him.

George was left with mixed emotions. He wasn’t entirely satisfied with his seeding but was incredibly stoked to land a move never seen before on the World Tour.'
