My windsurfing story is not the most conventional as my parents don’t windsurf and I tried it for the first time aged 7 on a family holiday and said “That looks cool, I want to do that!”. I loved it and continued learning at my local racing club when I got home. From there I joined the British Junior Regional Team and eventually progressed to the British Junior Team for Techno 293. I quit windsurfing when I was 15 to focus on my education but came back to it two years later and fell in love with it all over again. This is when I started slalom and very quickly found my discipline! I loved going fast in high winds (I still do!) so it was the perfect fit. I won the first British Championships I entered and then started training for the IFCA Junior Europeans and Worlds. I made my PWA debut in 2017 and in 2021 I won my first PWA race, as well as becoming IFCA Vice World Champion, which I repeated in 2022. When I’m not racing, my favourite hobby is wavesailing and I love the freedom and satisfaction I get from making a good rail turn – it is the exact opposite mentality to racing where everything is so intense and precise so it is the perfect antidote in a heavy training period to just fall in windsurfing all over again.

Fun fact: alongside competition, I am also working for Duotone in the Marketing Department!
