Skybrid SLS
WING – FREERIDE / FREEFLY
C55:turquoise

Great light wind board!
I added the 5’10 to my Sky Wing 4’11 for lighter days and it works perfect. Super easy to ride and especially to pump, a real pleasure!

Love this board. Using the 5´8" and its really easy to get going and turns fantastic in waves etc. Best board!

hi guys, I have the 5'8. I weigh 80kg, use the Slicks '24 5,5 and 4,0. mostly inland choppy. My question. I want to ride on the small lake waves, When I see a bigger chop coming, I turn the board on the small wave/chop and try to ride it like a downwinder almost. Now my rides don't last more then 10 seconds max, but I want to be able to ride them longer, with some pumping. And if I can ride it with a Wing, maybe I buy a SUP DW board as well to do SUP downwinders as well. But first I need to learn it with a wing. What foil would you recommend? The Glide 2.0? or the Carve or Wizz? I think max 950-1000 should be enough? or do you recommend something like 1100 for low wind days? I was thinking around 900-950 for light wind, and then something like a 750 for more wind... but please inform what you would recommend? also mast length wise? thanks!
ReplyHi Mark, sounds good - right board size for your weight. So to get more glide, putting the foil further fwd always helps, especially with the new Glide 2.0 which prefers a more forward position vs Glide 2.0 or Carve/Free. The Skybrids not only start early, but also do allow you to use slightly smaller foils - so for your weight, wing sizes and Lake waves, I would go for a 1100 and 750, I think this will give you a very big range of use - the 1100 Glide 2.0 has massive low end, but can still be ridden easily up to 20knots/is a good foil later for downwinding on a SUP downwinder/wing downwinder. Mast length, if you are mainly on flat water/winging, the 82 is a good allrounder, I would go for the SLS model, to get the most stiffness for the 1100 Glide 2.0 Good luck!
