When you buy a front pad, it comes as a complete set. The secrtion which can be replaced with the insert pad is included in this front pad.
If you later glue in an insert pad and lose the respective piece of the front pad which you replaced with the insert pad, you can use this spare to fill the gap again in case you remove the insert pad from the board.
