ALL SILVER BOOMS ARE MADE FROM 7075 HIGH-TECH ALUMINIUM IN HIGH-QUALITY BONDED TECHNOLOGY. THIS MATERIAL USED PREDOMINANTLY IN CYCLING GIVES THE TUBES SIGNIFICANTLY MORE STIFFNESS.

There is also the new combination of a round tube in the front area (holding forces act obliquely downwards, so it is stiffer around here) and the OVAL TAIL SECTION (horizontal sail pull, thus the oval tube is stiffer here). This makes the entire SILVER around 30% stiffer. Together with the hardened front tube, this results in enormous stiffness and durability.

We are even prepared to offer a two-year unlimited warranty on all SILVER models – even on bending!

The 140 and 160 lengths consist of three segments and have a one-piece aluminium tail-end in addition to the iFRONT 2.0 front-end. Together with the RDM tubes at 28 mm, this creates the ideal combination of stiffness and comfort. The bend curve applies an even pull on the mast- and backhand.

The 180 length features a performance bend curve designed specifically for freeride sails and a 30 mm tube diameter to ensure maximum stiffness.

The high-density PROTECTION GRIP on the outside effectively prevents damage when rigging up.

The entire SILVER line is equipped with the brand-new VTS TAIL fitting. In combination with the 2022 Duotone sails, the VTS TAIL fitting offers for the first time a clear visual indication for the perfect outhaul tension (patent pending).

Best for last all SILVER booms now feature an unmatched 60cm XL extension range covering an even broader range of sail sizes.

iFRONT 2.0

THE LIGHTEST FRONT-END ON EARTH! COMBINES THE ADVANTAGES OF PREVIOUS CONCEPTS IN ONE FRONT-END:

A VERTICAL STIFFNESS: Unlike other front-ends we use 50% longer stainless steel axle-bolts which are directly connected to the side walls. Thus we obtain a maximum vertical/torsion stiffness, which results in an extremely direct connection/transmission of boom to mast (= maximum performance).

B HORIZONTAL FLEXIBILITY: The partially recessed center of the collar gives the iFRONT 2.0 a kind of hinge function, so that the collar fits to any mast diameter without any gap (= very smooth on the mast and extremely slip resistant). We know of no other front-end that fits so smoothly around the mast and thus effectively protects the mast. PERFECT FIT GUARANTEED FOR BOTH SDM AND RDM MASTS This exceptional fit is guaranteed on SDM as well as RDM masts as the iFRONT 2.0 can easily be adapted through the exchange of 2 different friction pads.

OVAL TAIL SECTION

The tail section has similar influence on the overall boom stiffness as the front section, although the influence increases the further you extend the boom length. Unlike the front section where the forces act in multiple directions, 90% of the forces on the tail section occur laterally as the main force comes from the sail pulling sideways. With the forces only occuring in one direction, the most effective geometry here is an asymmetrical oval cross section that is horizontally orientated. This makes the entire boom approx. 30% stiffer!

VTS TAIL

Since 1992 all our sails feature VTS dots clearly showing the right downhaul tension. With the introduction of the VTS TAIL we have finally made the correct outhaul tension visible as well. Due to the integrated visual indicator and rope markings now you have the perfect outhaul trim every session.

WIDE TAIL GEOMETRY

EQUAL LOAD ON BOTH HANDS AND IMPROVED HANDLING! Also the short booms now feature a 4 cm wider tail-end moving your back-hand further away from the sail. For the first time now your back- and front-hand are equally angled making sailing less fatigue. You immediately realize this much more relaxed sailing position no matter if going in a straight line or down the line on a wave. The second advantage is a much improved handling during ducking maneuvers.
