The Art of Foiling

There are many ways to foil — and that is exactly what makes the sport so fascinating.

Wing Foiling, Parawing, Prone Foiling, Downwind Foiling and Foil Assist each open up a different way of experiencing the water. One session might be about carving a clean wave face. The next could mean linking bumps across open ocean, gliding silently along the coastline or using a wing to unlock conditions that would otherwise remain untouched.

In “The Art of Foiling,” all of these worlds come together.

Shot in Guadeloupe, the film follows a diverse crew of riders as they explore the island’s waves, wind and open-water conditions. With its warm Caribbean water, consistent trade winds and endless opportunities to foil, Guadeloupe becomes more than just the backdrop — it becomes part of the story.

At the heart of the film is the feeling that connects every discipline.

Prone Foiling is about reading the wave and carrying speed where a traditional surfboard would slow down. Downwind Foiling transforms rolling ocean bumps into long, continuous lines. Parawing brings a new sense of freedom and simplicity to open-water runs, while Wing Foiling combines power, control and versatility. Foil Assist opens yet another dimension, extending sessions and creating possibilities when conditions are less than perfect.

Different tools. Different techniques. But always the same pursuit of glide, flow and freedom.

Featuring Mo Chauvin, Manon Dupé, Eulalie Thébault, Mahé Thébault, Arthur Thébault, Léo Étienne, Romain Simonnot, Finn Spencer and Jeffrey Spencer, the film brings together different personalities, riding styles and generations. Rather than defining foiling by one discipline, it shows how each part of the sport complements the others — and how naturally riders now move between them.

“The Art of Foiling” is a celebration of exactly that — the endless possibilities of flying above the water. Different ways to foil. One shared passion.

Watch “The Art of Foiling” and experience the many sides of foiling through the waters of Guadeloupe.

»The versatility is what makes foiling special. It changes the way we look at the ocean, turning small waves, light wind, rolling swell and previously overlooked conditions into opportunities.«
