When and where did you start Wing Foiling?
When I was 15 years old, I started Wing Foiling in Soma Bay, Egypt during spring break in 2022.

What’s your watersports history – from which side did you enter Winging?
I had never done any water sports before, even though my dad was a windsurfer and had taken me on many trips since I was born. Water sports never really appealed to me until I tried Wing Foiling for the first time. It quickly became an important part of my life.

What do you love about Wing Foiling?
Well, I think Wing Foiling offers a lot of possibilities and is closely related to both windsurfing and kitesurfing. The sport has significant advantages in light or gusty winds, which are common in places like Switzerland. I'm very excited to see where Wing Foiling is going, both in terms of riding techniques and equipment advancements.

What’s your favourite conditions?
My favourite wind speed is around 25 knots, which provides the perfect balance of power and control. I love the thrill of riding waves, but I also enjoy the smoothness of flat water for practicing freestyle manoeuvres. Both conditions offer unique challenges and excitement.

What’s your top advice for a beginner?
I think it's important for a beginner not to use too small gear. Starting with slightly larger gear allows for a smoother learning curve and faster progress. It helps build confidence and master the basics before moving on to more advanced gear. This approach ensures a solid foundation and a more enjoyable learning experience overall.

Boom or handles?
I prefer to use a boom because it offers more versatility compared to handles. With a boom, you can adjust your hand position to better suit your riding style. This flexibility allows for better control and comfort when Wing Foiling, which improves overall performance on the water.
