VTS TAIL - OUTHAUL TRIM

With the introduction of the VTS TAIL we have finally made the correct outhaul tension visible as well.
 

In Addition to the common boom length specs all Duotone 2022 sails come with VTS TAIL outhaul info - giving specifications for minimum and for maximum outhaul tension.
 

In combination with our 2022 Silver and Platinum booms this system guarantees a spot on visual guidance to achieve the ideal outhaul tension within seconds.

HOW THE VTS TAIL WORKS

The VTS TAIL features two key components: the integrated indicator and the rope featuring markers. The outhaul rope of the Silver and Platinum booms has 7 markers as indicators for the correct outhaul trim. When you pull the rope until the white indicator completely closes the window of the VTS TAIL. This is the so-called "neutral tension". Starting from this neutral tension, you pull the rope according to the specifications on the sail.
