Duotone: How does it feel to become part of Team Duotone?

Daniele: I feel really excited to be part of the DUOTONE TEAM because it has been one of my dreams, and of course its a Team which I'm sure working together we will achieve many goals. I can't be more happy about this opportunity!

Duotone: As you haven't been on the PWA World Tour for very long, can you tell us a bit more about yourself and your career so far?

Daniele: As you could see I'm one of the last entries on the PWA Tour of the Slalom discipline. I really enjoyed since my first races in this Tour, it started for fun as last year I didn't had so much preparation especially on the gear.
Back in the days I used to race the Olympic Class on the RS:X, for sure I got a lot of race experience which then helped me to compete on PWA.

Duotone: What inspired you to become a professional windsurfer?

Daniele: To be a Professional windsurfer has been always my dream, I was watching always PWA races when I was a kid.

Duotone: Last year, you came so close to winning your first world title. How do you feel about that?

Daniele: In 2024 I got so close to win the Title, missing out for only 2,3 points in Japan at the last event of the season. It makes me really hungry for the next year and I'm already working to get it this year. 

Duotone: You seem to be a foil expert, but what about your skills with fins?

Daniele: What I can say is I really like the high wind and the speed with the foil. Honestly I really like the feeling of the speed on fin, and also big jumps on slalom fin gear, so that means it might be you see me on Slalom X races .

Duotone: What are your first impressions of the gear?

Daniele: My first impression has been so amazing! I just jumped into it and I could feel straight comfortable and fast. The best feeling has been with the boom. It felt super nice to handle and did not make me feel tired.

Duotone: What's on your schedule for this year?

Daniele: For sure this year my main goal is to become World Champion, and of course enjoy other races like Defi Wind, One Hour Classic and National Competitions.
I started the winter preparation here in Civitavecchia were I live, then I will move to the Canaries to continue the training. The calendar is still not out yet but I really hope to have many races this year, so we can make good show to the appassionate of this beautiful sport.
