Victor grew up in Almerimar, south of Spain in Mediterranean conditions.

He got into windsurfing thanks to his father who started windsurfing when Victor was born. A few years later, Victor started windsurfing at the age of 5 and got into competitions at a young age. Victor and his father competed on the spanish national tour for many years which gave him a lot of competition experience. At the age 14 Victor became Junior IFCA Wave World Champion in Galicia. When he turned 18, Victor started his career on the PWA Wave Tour.
