Young Blood Camps Reach New Heights!

We are truly amazed by the dynamic development of our Young Blood Camps in Wing Foiling. It’s only July, and we have already hosted seven national Duotone Young Blood Camps across Europe, from the stunning Lake Uri in Switzerland to the Wing Foiling mecca of Lake Garda. While our well-established highlights, such as the largest camp in Grönwohld, Germany, and our Young Blood Meets Pro Team Invitational in Tarifa, are still ahead of us, it’s time to take stock.

What a vibrant community of Wing Foiling families we have – and it’s constantly growing! So far, our pro coaches and riders, including Benjamin May, Rocco Sotomayor, Stefan Spiessberger and Michi Rossmeier, have trained over 80 passionate kids in our Young Blood Camps in Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Croatia, Switzerland, and France, all in line with our mission to unite the next generation of Wing Foilers. Regardless of the kids’ skill level, their enthusiasm for our sport is contagious.

Young Blood Camps 2025

YoungBloodCamp_Podersdorf

DPC Podersdorf, Austria, May 30th - June 1st, 2025

We kicked off this year’s Young Blood Camp season with a compact group of 11 youngsters aged 11 to 17 at our Duotone Pro Center in Podersdorf, the ideal location at Lake Neusiedl.

With a consistent 25 knots of wind, Austrian watersport legend Stefan Spiessberger, along with his colleague Clemens Siraki, shared their Wing Foiling tips and freestyle tricks, once again surprised by the rapid progression of the kids. The lack of wind on the final day provided an opportunity for detailed video analysis and a chance to try out our e-assists and go Pump Foiling. Former pro windsurfer Ossi Krupitz added a creative touch with his physical training sessions.

»Every Young Blood Camp excites me. I always think I know all the young talents in Austria, yet each year I’m surprised by how quickly the next generation improves! As we cruised out for our warm-up session in Podersdorf this year, I couldn’t believe the impressive backflips some of the kids were executing right in front of me.«

Lake Lipno, Czech Republic, May 31st - June 1st, 2025

On the same weekend, we hosted the second edition of our Young Blood Camp in the Czech Republic for a growing Wing Foiling community.

Once again, amongst the 18 participants there were predominantly girls and a few newbies to the sport. Although the wind window could have been longer, the kids spent an action-packed weekend with workouts, equipment training, and endless Pump Foiling sessions. Our German Wing Foiling pioneer Henning Nockel not only provided valuable tips on how to master the next maneuvers but also created a great atmosphere with his companionable manner.

Porto Pollo, Italy, June 13th -15th, 2025

The Young Blood Wing Camp with Michi Rossmeier in Porto Pollo was a blast! Nine kids aged 9 to 16 participated, joined by two national team riders, Duccio Dini and Luca, who inspired the kids and helped create a safe and fun environment.

The spot is incredibly beautiful and a prime location for Wing Foiling on the Italian islands, thanks in part to the warm welcome from the wind school, which provided us with the latest Duotone gear, delicious meals, and the best support team on the water. We had wind for two out of three days, but we organized plenty of instructional and fun activities for the kids to make the most of the no-wind day, including gear training, tuning tips, wing simulator sessions, bladder changes, diving, hiking, balance games, and challenges. The kids went wild trying out Parawinging and Pump Foiling in the crystal-clear waters of the bay.

DPC Torbole, Italy, July 11th - 13th 2025

What a fantastic weekend at DPC Torbole, Lake Garda – the ultimate spot for Wing Foiling! This Young Blood Camp featured a special edition, bringing together talents from Italy, Germany, and Austria.

Under the professional guidance of our experienced coach Michi Rossmeier and the support of our international team riders Benjamin May and local hero Rocco Sotomayor, the crew of 16 youngsters pushed hard - from first flights to high-level freestyle action, performing Paulas, Backmobes, and 720s. It was amazing to see them train and shred together.

On Sunday, the wind took a break, but that didn’t deter the kids. They battled each other in Pump Foiling, utilized the time for video analysis, and engaged in on-land training with Francesca Bagnoli. This camp was about more than just skills – it’s about spotting young talent and helping them elevate their passion to new heights.

»The best part of these camps for me is seeing the kids have so much fun on the water together and pushing themselves to try new jumps.«

Six-Fours, France, 19th July 2025

We spent an incredible day in Six-Fours, France, with seven enthusiastic kids, aged 12 to 16, at different levels of riding. With perfect conditions of 20 knots of wind, we saw some amazing progress from everyone. The French coaches Romain Simonnot and Scott Cheminal were fantastic, giving great tips and wrapping up the day with a fun video analysis.

Adrien Bosson gave us a warm welcome at his club, and we had access to great facilities, including a boat that allowed us to stay close to the kids while they were out on the water, which really helped them level up their Wing Foiling skills!

The day kicked off with a briefing, followed by coaching sessions until lunchtime. After a well-deserved break, we organized a fun mini-competition called "Tricks It." In this exciting face-off format, one rider would demonstrate a trick, and the other had to replicate it perfectly. The first rider to collect 5 points won the round, culminating in a thrilling final showdown between the top two riders to finish the day in style.

Lake Uri, Switzerland, 19th - 20th of July 2025

Lake Uri is renowned for providing some of the strongest Foehn winds in the Alps, and for the second edition of our Swiss Young Blood Camp at Windsurfing Urnersee, the spot delivered once again.

On Saturday, the wind was still light, so the program included a mix of Pump Foiling and Wing Foiling. Sunday brought perfect conditions all day long, allowing the kids to extensively work on their maneuvers. Our Swiss Duotone ambassador, Devin Daum—who is almost a Young Blood himself—stood out with his freestyle skills and shared his tips and tricks with the group of passionate kids.
