Young Blood Season Wrap-Up

The Evolution Continues!

With six camps already in the books and two more on the horizon, this third season of the Duotone Young Blood Wing Foiling Camps has set new standards. Across Austria, Croatia, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and the Czech Republic, our team riders and coaches have shared their passion for Wing Foiling with nearly 90 enthusiastic kids and their families!

Let’s celebrate the highlights and honor this incredible community. A huge shoutout to all the young rippers, team riders, coaches, and supporters! Your energy and determination have set the stage for an exciting future in Wing Foiling.

Young Blood Camps 2024

Achensee, Austria, June 21-23, 2024

The season kicked off with the Young Blood Camp during the Wing Foil & SUP Testival at picturesque Achensee.

The 10 participants showed a high level of riding and received expert guidance from "Mr. Wing Academy App" and former Duotone pro rider Stefan Spiessberger. During the wind lulls, Stefan made the most of the time, introducing the kids to Pump Foiling and getting them hooked on this exciting new discipline.

Bol, Brač, Croatia, July 5-7, 2024

Despite the Bora winds being less than favorable for the eight participants in Bol, Croatia’s wind mecca, everyone had an amazing time in and around the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic.

With a few beginners in the group, Austrian team rider and coach Clemens Siraki ensured they received a solid introduction to Wing Foiling, making the experience enjoyable and rewarding for all.

Urner See, Switzerland, July 13-14, 2024

Stefan Spiessberger returned to the heart of the Swiss Alps to lead a group of 12 enthusiastic Wing Foilers, amongst them our Swiss Young Blood talent, Devin Daum.

Amidst the breathtaking alpine scenery, the youngsters pushed hard to refine their freestyle skills and tirelessly took turns perfecting their dock starts, making the most of every moment in this stunning location.

Grönwohld, Germany, August 30 - September 1, 2024

Germany once more organized the largest Duotone Young Blood Wing Foiling Camp, welcoming over 30 eager participants to Grönwohld. The camp was a huge success, thanks to the leadership of local legend Henning Nockel, who kept the energy high and the stoke alive throughout the event.

Henning led a talented team of 11 coaches, including 2023 GWA Big Air Vice World Champion Benjamin May from Bavaria, ensuring top-notch training for all participants. Grönwohld was buzzing with excitement as young talents sharpened their skills and took their Wing Foiling to the next level.

DPC Torbole, Italy, August 30 - September 1, 2024

Lake Garda delivered as usual, offering ideal conditions at the Duotone Pro Center for 10 young riders to improve their Wing Foiling skills. Known for its consistent winds, this spot proved to be the perfect training ground for emerging talents like local standout Rocco Sotomayor, as well as rising stars Duccio Dini and Sean Fryer.

When it came to pushing the boundaries with new freestyle maneuvers, there was no better guide than coach Michi Rossmeier, aka "Mr. Tricktionary." His deep expertise and hands-on approach helped the youngsters explore and master new tricks, further solidifying Lake Garda as a top destination for Wing Foiling progression.

Černá v Pošumaví, Czech Republic, September 7-8, 2024

New to this year’s calendar was Lake Lipno in the Czech Republic, where 15 participants enjoyed two windy days of world-class instruction from Duotone International athlete Paula Novotna and local talent Stepan Benes.

With 9 girls in the group, it became clear what an inspiring role model Paula is for women in Wing Foiling. Her presence and guidance not only helped the participants to progress their skills but also highlighted the growing enthusiasm and representation of women in our sport. Lake Lipno truly set the stage for an unforgettable camp, filled with learning, empowerment, and fun on the water.

“Young Blood meets Pro Team Invitational” - The Grand Finale

The highlight of our season is just around the corner! From October 11-13, 2024, Tarifa, Spain, will host an exclusive camp bringing together selected Young Blood talents and our Pro Team riders for three days of intense training, high-level action, personalized workshops, and true inspiration.

This camp will feature world-class athletes like Jerome Cloetens and Henning Nockel, pro coach Michi Rossmeier along with Tarifa's own stars Nia Suardiaz and the exceptional twins, Aleks and Tom Acherer. It promises to be an unforgettable experience, as young riders get the rare opportunity to train together and pushing boundaries of what’s possible in Wing Foiling.
