The Duotone Kiteboarding Ozdyssey

The Duotone Kiteboarding Ozdyssey

The vast expanse of Western OZ, endless beaches and dirt, coastline roads that stretch as far as the eye can see. Four of the best wave kite-surfers were on a mission to discover the wave of their dreams, get the shot and avoid close calls with kanga-roos at all costs.

Duotone Team House Brazil

We present to you the Duotone Team House (Brazil). The concept for this video was simple... Rent a massive house and invite the whole international freestyle team. It wasn't mandatory to come and we weren't shooting any specific products. We just wanted to get everyone together to push the level higher and create some team bonding.

We actually only scored 3 mediocre sessions which previously was never conceivable for the windiest spot in the world. We stayed on the grind though and worked on a lot of different things in the meantime. From the difference of shooting for video and photo to social media strategies and loads of other topics in between. Plus a few surf sessions while we waited around. @noe_font, @tiagoazzi and @romantsovaphoto documented it all, so here it is, the first of many!

Utopia in St Brandon

Utopia in St Brandon

We dreamed of riding in St Brandon, a true utopia, but we knew getting there wasn’t going to be easy. The voyage was tough, crossing wild and rolling seas, testing us to our limits. But in the end, the journey unfolded exactly as it should have, arriving on the white shores of a paradise lost, St Brandon, knowing that this windy playground was everything we needed.

'Imagine if you could compare kite models against each other based on figures, similar to a car-magazine test. Parameters such as steering pressure, lift, drag, depower-ability, turning speed and more could be compared by looking at objective data. This would revolutionize the development process and the way we judge kites in general. A designer’s dream come true!’ says Ralf Grösel, Duotone kite designer.
