Repair & Care FAQ

This general repair advice is applicable only for minor damages. If your board sustains significant damage, such as a large crack or puncture, consider taking it to a repair shop for professional repair. Attempting to repair major damage yourself could result in further harm to the board if not done correctly.

If you spot a minor crack in your board you can do a temporary session savor and use the bladder repair patches coming together with our wings to cover up and avoid water entering the board.

If you notice a small damage in the canopy, it is necessary to repair it immediately to prevent further coarse damage. To fix small holes or so-called pinholes in the canopy, we recommend using the "selfsticky canopy" provided with your wing. In case the hole or tear in the cloth is larger than 1 cm, we strongly advise you to visit a repair shop to have the hole or tear professionally repaired.

1. Clean your wing with tap water to remove any salt residue.
2. Apply the patch to the INSIDE of the wing so that the wind pushes against the patch.
3. Get alcohol swabs and thoroughly clean the canopy around the hole. Allow the alcohol to evaporate and the canopy to dry.
4. Use scissors to cut a piece from the self-adhesive canopy that overlaps the hole in all directions by about 1 cm.
5. Round the corners of the self-adhesive canopy piece.
6. Ideally, ask another person to help you tighten the canopy to avoid wrinkles when applying the patch.
7. Place the self-adhesive canopy piece centrally over the hole.
8. Press firmly with your thumb from the center of the patch to the edges multiple times to ensure better adhesion of the adhesive.
