Canada stands for cultural diversity. Relative to the country’s population, it has the world’s highest immigration figures with about 250 000 migrants each year. Thus, almost 20% of the entire population was born abroad. In the big cities the percentage can be even higher, with about 38% in Vancouver and almost 44% in Toronto.
