The Red Bull King of the Air 2019, saw 18 riders from 11 nations - the most represented in the history of this event - unleash innovative and radical performances that wowed the industry. 8,000 spectators filled Kite Beach, Cape Town, South Africa to watch the action unfold, whilst thousands tuned in to the Red Bull TV live stream showing that this style of riding has gained a lot of momentum over the years, now representing a gripping on-the-edge-of-your-seat kind of show. Cape Town is the only battle ground to be crowned the King of the Air 2019 and the path to victory requires a fearless approach, blended with self-confidence and calculation to go big and land smooth.
Each and every rider in the lineup was capable of claiming the crown, with Duotone legend Aaron Hadlow, already 2x KOTA Champion, past KOTA runner-up Lewis Crathern, along with Mega Loop Challenge Champion Lasse Walker, all on the hunt for the top spot and looking to combine their individual talent, style and ambition to strike at just the right time. This exclusive event runs fast. It’s technical, tactical and requires radical decisions whilst weighing up the risk, but ultimately it all comes down to that one moment…can you stick the landing?
