World-Class Performances in Challenging Conditions
Austrian twins Tomas and Aleksander Acherer made a stunning debut on the world stage with a remarkable one-two finish during the dramatic season final of the GWA Surf-Freestlye discipline in Jeri/Brazil with Tom in 3rd!
Nia Suardiaz finished 1st in Surf-Freestyle and Freefly-Slalom likewise and also collected her 4th GWA world title for 2024: Nia is World Champion in Surf-Freestlye, FreeFly-Slalom, Youth and Big Air!
Mar de Arce finished 2nd in Surf-Freestyle and Freefly-Slalom making her 2nd and 3rd for the year in those two disciplines!

FREEFLY-SLALOM
Two podiums and 3 more riders in the Top Ten in Gran Canaria's challenging trade winds. Nia Suardiaz taking the FreeFly-Slalom victory and Tom Pansard securing an impressive 3rd place. In demanding racing conditions, Mar de Arce narrowly missed the podium in 4th, while Manon Dupé and Benjamin May both finished 6th, highlighting another strong all-round team performance.

SURF-FREESTYLE
A second-place finish was all Nia Suardiaz needed to secure the 2026 GWA Surf-Freestyle World Title, bringing her incredible tally to nine GWA World Championship titles. Congratulations, Nia!
Gran Canaria also showcased the strength and depth of the Duotone team, with standout performances across both the women's and men's fleets. Tom Acherer narrowly missed the podium in 4th, while Franz Schlittenbauer and Charlie Loch shared 5th place. Zoe Schönwetter finished 5th, Manon Dupé 7th, Rocco Sotomayor 7th, and Franz Rappolder together with Benjamin May rounded out the Top Ten in 9th. With Tom Acherer still leading the overall Surf-Freestyle rankings, the title fight now heads to the season finale in Fuerteventura starting already today!
