Stash Tech Talk

Behind The Design: Stash 2026

The second generation of the Stash, our all-round single-skin parawing, brings a completely reworked design aimed at delivering a new level of flying stability, power, upwind performance, depower, and overall riding comfort—while remaining true to its DNA of easy stashing and intuitive steering.

In this Behind the Design interview, the Spencer brothers - who were deeply involved in the R&D process - share their thoughts on what makes the new Stash special.

What was the main goal behind the new Stash?

Jeffrey: “Our goal was to bring the Stash to a new level of stability and range without losing the simplicity and freedom that make a single-skin wing so fun. We wanted a wing that flies smooth and efficient, packs down small, and works for everyone—from beginners discovering parawinging to experienced riders linking laps of up- & downwind runs.”

What are the biggest improvements riders will feel immediately?

Finn: “The improvement in flying stability is huge. With the new, more segmented leading edge and finely tuned angle of attack, the Stash flies smoother through gusts and stays super balanced even when depowered. The upwind performance is also way better thanks to its profile thickness, aspect ratio and arc.”

The depower is described as ‘next level’ - how did you achieve that?

Jeffrey: “There are two key elements. First, the leading-edge bridle triangle keeps the front of the wing always at a positive angle, so the Stash maintains a stable open arc even when you completely de-power the wing. Second, the new ergonomic Carbon handle lets you slide your front hand under the A-lines. That gives you way better power distribution and comfort. All the line connections - including the harness line - are fully integrated, so everything stays super clean and tangle-free.”

»The stability and control of the new Stash are on another level. It stays balanced even in gusts, has way more upwind performance, and the new handle setup feels super natural. It’s intuitive and accessible – a real winner.«

What about handling and ease of use?

Finn: “The Stash is still about freedom and simplicity. The 30 g ripstop canopy keeps it crazy light and flying through the lulls, gybes and light sections, and the wing still folds down super small.
The new sheathed lines add stability and reduce tangling, and the short lines make it easy to bring the wing in across all sizes—from 2.2 up to 5.6.
We also added a 3-way color coding on canopy, leading edge, center panels, and A/B/C lines to make setup and sorting almost automatic.”

 Who is the Stash for?

Jeffrey: "Anyone who is up for pure foiling fun. It’s the perfect travel wing, still very easy to stash, and now it has the stability, upwind performance and top-end to cover a way bigger wind-range than before."
