WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
The ONLY difference between the ULTRA Freewave and ULTRA Freewave SLS is the technology used in the construction. The ULTRA Freewave is a Full Custom Wood Technology, whilst the ULTRA Freewave SLS is a Full Custom SLS Technology.
Between 300-700g lighter than the ULTRA Freewave depending on the size, the ULTRA Freewave SLS is built using our FULL CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION Technology. The SLS construction uses a mix of Carbon and our exclusive S_GLASS+.
The ULTRA Freewave commands our most attractive price point whilst still using the FULL CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION. These boards feature wood reinforcements that effectively dampen peak loads. Compared to the predecessor model in semi custom technology these boards are approx. 200g lighter and yet even stronger.
WHAT'S NEW FOR 2025?
The ULTRA Freewave is a completely new shape for 2025! Our main goal was to move away from the typical compromise of a do-it-all board. Instead of following the traditional path of designing an "easy-going" freemove board and then trying to blend in classic wave and freestyle characteristics, we started with a powerful new-school freestyle board. This foundation naturally resulted in maximum acceleration and control.
We then refined this shape to also excel as a wave board in logo-high side-on waves. For the ULTRAFreeWave to perform in side-on wave conditions, it needed to be crisp, direct, and compatible with a tri-fin setup.

WHAT MAKES IT BETTER THAN BEFORE?
We wanted a board that truly excelled in freestyle, freeride and waves without compromises and with the ability to switch between a single fin and thruster setup we have achieved this claim.
With the tri-fin setup it offers 70% of the GRIP 3 wave potential (top/bottom turns)
With a single fin setup it now feels a lot more exciting than its predecessor
Combined with a capable freestyle fin, the ULTRA FreeWave offers 70% of the hardcore freestyle potential of the SKATE
It truly offers all round performance for those riders who want to enjoy all disciplines of our sport without having to buy three separate boards!
