Endless Flight
Pump & Wake Foiling with Benjamin May
Sometimes the best missions aren’t across the world — they’re right at home. A glassy lake, early morning mist and a full day of foiling at home.
For this shoot with Benjamin May, we searched for the opposite of what we usually chase — no wind at all. Perfect conditions for Pump Foiling and Wake Foiling with the new Strider SLS, Strider Wake SLS and Amp 2.0 SLS.
From early Dock Start sessions and sunset Wake Foiling runs behind the boat, this clip features smooth freshwater, alpine scenery and endless pump lines.

Why were glassy, no-wind conditions so important for this shoot?
For pump and wake foiling you actually want the opposite of wind. Glassy water gives you maximum efficiency and clean lines — visually and performance-wise. South Munich is probably one of the best spots in Europe for that kind of calm, misty morning setup.
How did the new Strider SLS and Amp 2.0 SLS perform?
The new Amp 2.0 SLS honestly surprised me. I could pump forever. The efficiency is unreal — you stay high on foil with way less effort. Combined with the Strider SLS, it felt super direct and connected. Perfect for long dock-start runs and follow-cam shots.
Wake Foiling behind the boat was new for you?
In a proper wave like that — yes. It took a few tries to dial in the setup, but once it clicked, it was insane. Backflips, 360s, grabs — the Strider Wake SLS felt super agile but still stable on landings. That combination with the Carve D/LAB and Slim mast worked really well.
And your first proper wake wave behind the boat?
That was actually new for me. It took a few tries to dial in the setup, but once it clicked, it was unreal. Landing tricks like backflips and 360s with the Strider Wake SLS felt super controlled and stable.
What made this shoot so special for you?
The simplicity of it. Early morning, local bakery, familiar lake, sunset over the mountains. No airports, no travel stress. Just pure foiling at home. Sometimes a local session beats the biggest international mission.
