Season after season he chased the benchmark set by the sport’s biggest names — often by the very riders standing next to him under the Duotone flag. In 2025, his persistence finally turned into destiny. From Cape Verde to Dakhla and ultimately Taíba, Pedro delivered a level of consistency, flow, and competitive focus that set him apart from the entire field. His win over Airton Cozzolino in Brazil marked a defining shift, and the semifinal against Gabriel Benetton sealed the moment he had dreamed of for years. Claiming the world title at home, surrounded by family, friends, and the Brazilian kite community, was the ultimate reward for a journey powered by patience, belief, and hard work. A truly deserved World Champion.

GKA Freestyle World Champion Finn Flügel, Vice World Champion Claudia León & Vice Foil Big Air World Champion Finn Flügel 

In his debut year on the Duotone Team, 16-year-old Finn Flügel delivered a standout season across two disciplines on the 2025 GKA Tour. Riding with a level of focus, style, and competitive maturity far beyond his years, he claimed the Freestyle World Title in Taíba, Brazil, while pushing the discipline in a new direction by riding in straps rather than boots — defining a style distinctly his own. Finn’s versatility is rare in the sport at any age — his ability to move seamlessly between Freestyle, Big Air, Strapless, Wing Foiling, and Hydrofoil is exceptional, and securing the Vice Big Air Foil World Title in Abu Dhabi made the breadth of his talent unmistakably clear. Claudia León matched the momentum on the women’s side, earning the Vice Freestyle World Title after a disciplined and determined comeback from injury, riding with renewed power, precision, and consistency. Francesca Bagnoli added another highlight for the team, returning to competition after several years away and immediately finishing third overall. A world title, two vice world titles, and a comeback podium — a strong finish across Freestyle and Big Air Foil for the Duotone team in 2025.

Duotone Pro Centers – A Year of Expansion, Progression & Pure Stoke

Across the Duotone Pro Center network, 2025 delivered one of the most exciting seasons yet. With new locations opening in Dakhla, Barcares, Soma Bay, and Prea, the DPC world continued to grow — unlocking even more dream spots and giving riders greater access to world-class coaching and premium equipment.

Young Blood Camps in Koksijde, Torbole, and Sicily fuelled the next generation, while Matchu Lopes’ ongoing Wave Camps in iconic Boa Vista continued to deliver high-level progression in one of the sport’s most iconic wave playgrounds. Wing Foil Camps in Tenerife and Kalpitiya added fresh momentum to the season, while epic new events like the Drifter — a downwind wing-foil race in Dakhla — and the open Big Air events in Limnos and Koksijde showcased rising talent and the unmatched energy of the DPC community. At DPC Torbole, riders explored Lake Garda from a new angle with the Downwind Experience, while over at DPC Mykonos, the vibe hit a whole new level with accommodation just steps from the spot.

Across every center, 2025 delivered progression, community, world-class conditions, and pure stoke. And the momentum heading into 2026 has never been stronger.

Closing the year with two key 2026 innovation launches — the Evo D/LAB and the all-new Rebel D/LAB — Duotone strengthened its forward momentum with advanced materials and next-generation performance engineering.

Young Bloods: World Titles for the Next Generation

The Young Bloods delivered big in 2025, with world and vice world titles and multiple podium finishes across both the Youth Big Air World Championships in St. Peter-Ording and the Youth World Championships in Tarifa. Finn Flügel claimed the U19 Big Air World Title on home soil at just 16, while Aya Kasabova secured two world titles — U19 Big Air and U19 Kite-Surf — confirming her place among the most exciting rising talents in the sport. Basile Serre earned the U14 Big Air World Title, and Tommaso Lazzari was crowned U14 Kite-Surf World Champion. Vice world titles added further depth to the team’s success, with Finn Flügel taking Freestyle U19 Vice World Champion and Ben Gerhardt claiming U16 Big Air Vice World Champion. Together, these results underline the strength of the Young Bloods program — a generation already shaping the future of kiteboarding with power, progression, and world-class performances.
