The final piece of the rigging puzzle is finally here – the VTS TAIL, along with the VTS downhaul dots, comes together to create the ultimate rigging system – VTS COMPLETE! A complete, extremely easy-to-use trim system that visually displays the perfect tension of downhaul AND outhaul.
We have always focused on speeding up the rigging process and simplifying the trim so that everyone can activate one hundred percent of the sail‘s performance. With the VTS COMPLETE system, anyone can trim their DUOTONE sail as quickly, precisely, and powerfully as our sail designers, testers, and team riders.
As the outhaul tension is applied, a spring within the VTS Tail system is compressed, activating the window closing mechanism. When the window is fully closed, this signifies neutral tension. From this point, the sticker on the clew of the sail should be consulted to apply the recommended accurate outhaul tension for the conditions. The minimum and maximum values relate to the black lines on the outhaul rope, which should be counted as the rope is pulled through the cleat after neutral tension is reached.
