Die super leichte Carbon-PLATINUM in AEROSPACE PREPREG TECHNOLOGY ist für leistungsorientierte Könner in mega steifer Monocoque-Bauweise konstruiert. Längst hat sich herumgesprochen, dass selbst PWA-Teamfahrer anderer Rigg-Marken die PLATINUM kaufen!

Um höchsten Ansprüchen zu genügen, sind drei völlig individuelle Konzepte am Start:

Wave Series:
Die Biegelinie der kurzen Längen mit geringerem Öffnungswinkel vorne und breiterem Endstück ergeben die EVEN CURVE, die für eine gleichmäßigere Zugverteilung auf Mast- und Segelhand sorgt. Das verbessert das Handling beim Wellenabreiten und bei Freestyle Moves und lässt weniger ermüden. Passend zum Einsatzbereich ist das iTAIL WAVE FITTING mit patentiertem Loop-Loop-Go Beschlag (perfekt-reibungsfreier Tampenverlauf) und kompletter Antirutsch-Grip-Beschichtung verbaut! Für maximalen Griffkomfort ist das Endstück nach wie vor eingeschoben. Auf vielfachen Wunsch gibt es jetzt die PLATINUM auch in einer MEGA.SLIM-Version als dünnste Carbon-Gabel weltweit mit nur 24.0 mm Holmdurchmesser (140 - 180 cm)!

Hybrid Series:
Speziell für die Segelgrößen 4.5 bis 7.8 wurde die Wave/Freeride Version mit HYBRID.CURVE entwickelt, die sich in ihr im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes optimal entfalten können. Für optimalen Griffkomfort und sicheren Halt bei Duck Jibes ist das Endstück zur Hälfte mit Pro-Grip beschichtet (INSIDE GRIPPED TAIL). Niedriges Gewicht, iFRONT 2.0 Kopfstück und die Steifigkeit der Monocoque-Bauweise machen sie zur hochwertigsten Wave/Freeride Gabel, die momentan angeboten wird.

Race Series:
Die großen PLATINUM besitzen ausgereifte Race/Slalom-Biegekurven. Der 30 mm Holmdurchmesser und das iFRONT 2.0 Kopfstück ergeben zusammen eine unschlagbare Steifigkeit.
Die Länge 170 – 230 cm hingegen besitzt einen 28,5 mm Holmdurchmesser, ideal für kleine Slalomsegel sowie sämtliche Freeride Segelgrössen.

PLATINUM 190 und 240 haben individuelle ONE BODY OUTSIDE TAIL Endstücke für 20% mehr Steifigkeit, um auch bei maximaler Länge nichts an Härte einzubüßen. Zusätzliches Highlight ist das iTAIL RACE FITTING, dessen Rollen aus Teflon-POM Kunststoff minimalste Reibungswerte aufweisen. Absolut einzigartig: Die Tampenschlaufe kann sogar bei Verwendung eines Outhaul-Trimmsystems geloopt werden (zum Patent angemeldet). Technologie hat ihren Preis, also nicht erschrecken.

It doesn’t just look slimmer and smoother, the iFRONT 2.0 is also a whopping 35% lighter than its predecessor! With 345 grams it is the lightest front-end on the market!

90% of all other booms on the market are equipped with the same front-end from China, which usually differs only in color or design details. Especially in major components we at Duotone are investing heavily in research and development to be far ahead of the competition. A prime example of this is the completely redesigned and absolutely unique iFRONT 2.0 front-end; it combines maximum ease of use with highest functionality, lowest weight and guaranteed durability.
For the first time the construction of the iFRONT 2.0 combines the advantages of both concepts in one front-end:

A Vertical stiffness: Unlike other front-ends we use 50% longer stainless steel axle-bolts which are directly connected to the side walls. Thus we obtain a maximum vertical/torsion stiffness, which results in an extremely direct connection/transmission of boom to mast (= maximum performance).

B Horizontal flexibility: The partially recessed center of the collar gives the iFRONT 2.0 a kind of hinge function, so that the collar fits to any mast diameter without any gap (= very smooth on the mast and extremely slip resistant). We know of no other front-end that fits so smoothly around the mast and thus effectively protects the mast.

This exceptional fit is guaranteed on SDM as well as RDM masts as the iFRONT 2.0 can easily be adapted through the exchange of 2 different friction pads.

It is an open secret that different conditions require front-ends with different vertical/torsional stiffness so that the rig can develop its maximum potential yet the comfort doesn’t suffer.
