Fully committed to creating positive social and environmental change in their region, these schools are doing their part for a better future by going the extra mile to save our playgrounds. The DCP Zanzibar , for example, is enforcing a zero food waste as well as a zero plastic policy. Food scraps are composted and single-use plastic bottles, bags, straws etc. are not used or sold on the premises. Through daily beach clean-ups and other similar regular initiatives, a greater environmental responsibility is promoted in the area. The DPC Grenadines has a strong focus on offering opportunities for the local people to find work. School drop-outs and young people with minimal employment options are being trained from scratch to become kite instructors. Building state-of-the-art kitesurfing equipment will always have an environmental footprint.
