Duotone Magazine No. 06

SPOTS If you want to practice flat water kiting tricks or even hit some rails in the slider park: Butter Pond at the Sand Bar Looking for easy winging conditions with easy water access: Hood River Water Front Park If you’re looking for something more radical: The Hatchery and Swell City, a couple miles upwind or 20 minutes across the Hood River toll bridge by car to Washington State. You’ll find big rolling swells perfect for getting effortless glides with the wing or lining up the ramps for huge jumps windsurfing. If you’re up for an adventure: Head 45+ min- utes out East to other popular spots like The Wall, Rufus, Arlington and Threemile Canyon. WHERE TO EAT: For pizza and beer, Double Mountain Brewery is always great. For ice cream you have to hit Mike’s Ice Cream. Boda’s Kitchen is my favorite place to grab a quick and healthy bite for lunch or grab a monster burrito from El Rinconcito food truck. Everybody’s Brewing across the bridge in White Salmon is also a great option to for dinner and a locally crafted beer.  WHERE TO GET YOUR GEAR REPAIRED: The guys at Airtime are amazing and will take care of all your kite and wing repair needs!  Rider  JF Beaulieu Rider  Tomas Acherer 91 H O O D R I V E R DUOTONE
