The essential product advantage of all D/LAB kites, no matter for which area of use, is the clear weight advantage compared to kites of the same line in different construction. This applies to all three kite models: Juice, Evo, Neo. A lighter kite has many advantages: + floats longer in the air with very light wind + more stable in the lower wind range + needs less mass to accelerate + can turn faster due to this weight advantage + in up- and downstroke as well as kiteloops the kites reacts faster + generates more power with the same basic pressure when flying sine and in the low-end range + rises well despite slack in the lines when kitelooping + outstanding drift stability when riding towards the kite and the lines lose tension It is interesting to note that the benefit of the D/LAB construction is somewhat different in all three kites. THREE D/LAB KITE MODELS – THREE DIFFERENT CHARACTERS OF KITES JUICE EVO NEO The Juice is the first Duotone kite we have offered in D/LAB construction since 2021. In the Juice’s traditional area of use, the light wind sector, the weight savings have the most significant effect on the flight characteristics. A Juice in D/LAB construction is 30 percent lighter than a Juice of the original construction. This ensures that the kite stays in the air longer in low winds and performs better in lower winds. You can sine it easier due to its better upstroke characteristics. In addition, the D/LAB construction ensures a stable kite structure not only in the Juice’s naturally large sizes for light wind. Because the D/LAB material is stiffer, we can design a thinner leading edge on the Juice D/LAB. This means less drag, which in turn allows for a deeper kite profile for more low wind performance. The kite moves further to the wind window, developing more base pressure. But because of the structural rigidity, the Juice D/LAB also holds its shape longer in the top-end and thus has a greater wind range overall.
