Duotone Diversity Magazine No.02 2020
Photo Daniel Deak Bardos A Duotone kite is made of around 500 individual parts. Its production takes three weeks. During this time, it passes through the hands of approximately 350 employees at the production site GSL, in Sri Lanka. It undertakes twelve quality checks in the process and is pumped up four times to check its quality and consistency. Nothing happens at the same time, and all work steps have to be done one after the other. Quality takes time. The next few pages provide a brief insight into the most important steps of the production process. BY RALF GRÖSEL T E C H N O L O G Y 68 69 T E C H N O L O G Y
