The legendary Porsche 917/20 racecar, which competed in the 1971 24-hour race at Le Mans, is known as the “Pink Pig,” “Big Berta,” or simply “Sau”. Although it retired from the race due to a break failure, its extraordinary design remains outstanding to this day. It was covered in the lines and names for meat cuts made by butchers, coloured with a vibrant flesh- like paint. The brand cooperation between Duotone and Porsche is now bringing this legendary design to Duotone kites and boards. Based on the 360 km/h top speed of the #23 Porsche racecar, 360 Evo SLS (in sizes 7, 9, and 12m2) and 360 Select Concept Blue were produced in the Limited Edition. The kites and board were offered in the Duotone webshop at the beginning of the year. As there was a significant demand for the Pink Pig kites and board, they were allocated by lottery procedure. Additionally, part of the proceeds from the sale went towards the current Young Blood program, with which Duotone promotes young talent in Kiteboarding. An extraordinary kite and board: Evo SLS and Select Concept Blue in the Pink Pig Limited Edition were created in a Duotone × Porsche collaboration as a tribute to the iconic Porsche 917/20 Pink Pig racecar from 1971.
