THE TWINTIPS When it comes to boards, there are slightly more options for effectively implementing sustainability. Both the twintips Select and Soleil Concept Blue are produced using 100% solar power, have sustainably sourced wooden cores and a special feature: fabrics made from flax fibers instead of conventional glass fiber fabrics. Flax is not only a very sustainable natural fiber, which is obtained from the stalks of the flax fiber and is also known as linen, but also offers better damping for a smoother ride. The flax fabric is reinforced with stringers made from basalt fibers, a natural fiber extracted from volcanic rock. The Select and Soleil boards will also be followed by another shape in Concept Blue.
